Florida Medicaid enrollment drops by nearly 130,000 since budget law was enacted
Florida Medicaid enrollment fell from 3.53 million in June 2025 to 3.4 million in April 2026, a decline of 129,348 people, according to KFF’s analysis of federal data. The decrease comes as Florida prepares for Medicaid provisions in the Republican-backed H.R. 1, which state officials project will reduce federal hospital funding by approximately $3.8 billion through 2035.
