Apopka High hosting STEM contest this weekend

More than 60 schools will compete for titles in 14 different events. Over 1,000 students will showcase their science, technology, engineering, and math expertise at the annual OCPS Super STEM Saturday event at Apopka High School.

2024 Apopka High grad Colin Poon was among 540 exceptional students selected from a competitive pool of thousands nationwide for this transformative program.
The APD’s Criminal Investigations Unit and School Resource Unit promptly launched an investigation. Through the rapid investigative efforts and collaboration with the Orange County Public Schools District Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the individual responsible was quickly identified and taken into custody.

Three Apopka schools (Kelly Park, Wolf Lake Elementary, and Wolf Lake Middle) received "A" grades, as did Zellwood Elementary. Apopka High School received a "B" grade, while Wekiva High received a "C".
