The advisory applies to the Wekiva Park and Park View subdivisions, Wekiva Plaza, PNC Bank, and 7-Eleven.
People in the affected area should boil all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing their teeth, or washing dishes. Bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use.
Bottled water may be used as an alternative.
The advisory will remain in effect until repairs are complete and bacteriological testing confirms the water is safe to drink. A precautionary advisory does not necessarily mean the water is contaminated, but it is issued to protect customers while testing is conducted.
Residents and business owners should continue following the precautions until the city formally announces that the advisory has been lifted.
