Loaves and Fishes: March Match Madness is here!

Join the madness and have your monetary donations to Loaves & Fishes matched in the month of March.  This is our one and only month-long fundraiser!  It may seem like madness to you, but thanks to God's grace and our anonymous matching donor, EVERY dollar donated the ENTIRE month of March will be MATCHED (up to $50,000)!

Loaves & Fishes has been serving the community since 1984. In the early 1980’s, hundreds of people in the Apopka area were employed by the local citrus plants which manufactured orange juice. In 1984, a devastating freeze blanketed most of Florida and killed the orange groves, thus resulting in the manufacturing plants closing and everyone losing their jobs. 

The desperate families were left with little money and turned to several churches in the area for assistance. Because of the overwhelming demand for help, the churches combined their resources and created a ministry to help those less fortunate, Loaves & Fishes, Inc. 

Since that time, we have all found that there are many reasons that families or individuals find themselves in need – a senior citizen on a fixed income; unexpected medical conditions resulting in loss of work; loss of jobs; or working full-time receiving minimum wage.  

Loaves & Fishes is currently helping over 300 qualified families with a weekly food bag, monthly household, toiletries, and baby essentials.  Our homeless clients receive bagged lunches each day, plus monthly toiletries.  Over 24,000 items distributed each month!

We are a non-profit, non-denominational, Christian organization serving a 9-zip code area. The zip codes we honor are:  Apopka (32703 & 32712), Altamonte Springs (32714 West of I-4), Lake Jem (32745), Longwood (32779), Plymouth (32768), Sorrento (32776), Tangerine (32777), Zellwood (32798).

What a true blessing to be supported by God's abundant grace and donations from local churches, schools, businesses, organizations, and individuals, as we receive NO government funding. Anyone can find themselves in need, and Loaves & Fishes is here to serve.
