During the reporting period, the department recorded 1,563 calls for service, 90 citations and 27 crashes. The reports provide incident locations and charges but do not include detailed narratives or court outcomes.

The week’s only commercial burglary was reported Oct. 11 in the 220 block of South Binion Road. A vehicle burglary was reported Oct. 14 in the 3690 block of Rolling Hills Lane, followed by two more Oct. 17 in the 1140 block of Timberline Road and the 2430 block of Piedmont Lakes Boulevard.

No residential burglaries were listed. The burglary report does not identify what was taken, how entry was gained or whether the vehicles were locked.

The Timberline Road incident shares a case number with the Oct. 17 arrest of a 36-year-old Apopka man on charges of armed burglary and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill. Although the burglary report identifies the incident as a vehicle burglary, neither report provides additional details about the allegations.

Earlier in the week, a 71-year-old Apopka man was arrested Oct. 11 on a charge of domestic battery by strangulation in the 560 block of Lancer Oak Drive. In a separate case in the 880 block of South Highland Avenue, a 26-year-old Apopka man was arrested on charges of DUI involving damage to property or another person, refusal to submit to a blood-alcohol test and driving without a valid license.

The Oct. 12 entries include a 44-year-old Apopka man charged with unarmed burglary of an occupied structure and petit theft, with two or more prior convictions, in a case associated with the 1350 block of Sheeler Avenue. That case is not among the four incidents listed in the weekly burglary report, which tracks report dates rather than arrest dates.

The same man was listed in a separate Oct. 12 case involving possession of a controlled substance without a prescription in the 1650 block of West Orange Blossom Trail. Police also reported three separate battery arrests that day, with offenses in the 1200 block of Adirondack Court, the 580 block of Sand Wedge Loop, and the 530 block of Hiawatha Palm Place.

Another Oct. 12 entry involved a 23-year-old Apopka man charged with resisting an officer without violence and listed on an out-of-county warrant. The report gives the location as the 1100 block of Hermit Smith Road.

On Oct. 13, a 33-year-old Orlando man was arrested on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription at East Main Street and Midland Avenue. A separate case in the 1700 block of South Orange Blossom Trail involved a 64-year-old Orlando man charged with petit theft involving two or more prior convictions and simple assault.

A 65-year-old Apopka woman was also arrested Oct. 13 on charges of abuse of an elderly or disabled adult without great harm and domestic battery on a person age 65 or older. The report lists the offense location as the 5120 block of Basswood Honey Loop.

The Oct. 14 entries include a 34-year-old Apopka woman charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon in the 210 block of South Forest Avenue. In a separate case in the 360 block of East Main Street, a 41-year-old Orlando man was listed on a battery charge and two probation violation entries.

Police also reported a DUI arrest Oct. 14 at West Orange Blossom Trail and Apopka Airport Road. The charge description lists a blood-alcohol level of 0.15 or higher or a person younger than 18 in the vehicle; the report does not specify which circumstance applied.

On Oct. 15, the report lists a 54-year-old Apopka man charged with petit theft involving two or more prior convictions in the 1670 block of West Orange Blossom Trail. Other entries that day involved failure to provide sex offender re-registration information and a probation violation associated with conspiracy to sell methamphetamine.

On Oct. 16, a 26-year-old St. Cloud woman was arrested on charges of driving without a valid license and providing false identification to a law enforcement officer at State Road 429 near mile marker 35. A separate theft arrest was listed in the 1700 block of South Orange Blossom Trail.

In addition to the Timberline Road case, the Oct. 17 entries included battery, theft, controlled substance possession and an out-of-county warrant. Across the week, police also listed arrests involving drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and additional warrants.

The juvenile section lists six youths ages 13 to 17 in cases involving battery, probation violations and out-of-county warrants. Two warrant entries involved the same 17-year-old.

The burglary report lists when incidents were reported, which does not necessarily establish when they occurred. Police caution that those incidents are subject to change as investigations continue.

The arrest charges are allegations, not findings of guilt. Anyone charged with a crime is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
