The schedule also includes the thriller “Kill Jackie,” two original movies, a pair of true-crime specials and a Halloween edition of “Last One Laughing.” Basketball fans will also get two NBA doubleheaders during the final two Fridays of the month.
The month begins Oct. 2 with “Kill Jackie,” a thriller starring Catherine Zeta-Jones. She plays Jackie Price, a former international cocaine dealer who has spent years living anonymously as a wealthy art dealer. Her carefully constructed life begins to unravel when a group of assassins known as The Seven comes after her.
“Madeleine McCann: The Case That Broke Britain” arrives Oct. 6. The true-crime special revisits one of the world’s most widely followed missing-child investigations and examines the case’s impact on British media, law enforcement and the public.
Prime Video’s most anticipated horror release follows Oct. 7 with “Carrie.” The series offers a new adaptation of Stephen King’s novel about a bullied teenage girl who discovers she possesses telekinetic powers.
Animation takes the spotlight Oct. 14 when “Helluva Boss” returns with the first half of its third season. The adult animated comedy follows the employees of an assassination business operating in Hell.
Also arriving Oct. 14 is the original movie “Love of Your Life,” followed two days later by “Masterplan.”
The second true-crime special of the month, “Minecraft to Murder: The Killing of a Boy Named Breck,” premieres Oct. 20. The program examines the killing of Breck Bednar and the dangers that can develop through online relationships.
“The Terminal List” returns for its second season Oct. 21. The action thriller continues the story of James Reece, the Navy SEAL portrayed by Chris Pratt, following the conspiracy and violence that shaped the show’s opening season.
The month’s comedy offering arrives Oct. 23 with “Last One Laughing: Halloween,” a seasonal installment of the competition in which comedians try to make their opponents laugh while keeping straight faces themselves.
Prime Video will also stream NBA doubleheaders Oct. 23 and Oct. 30. The first features the New York Knicks against the Boston Celtics and the Houston Rockets against the San Antonio Spurs. The second includes the Knicks against the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers against the Golden State Warriors in Emirates NBA Cup games.
The announced calendar remains subject to change, and additional library movies may be added closer to the beginning of the month. Availability can also vary by country, while rentals, purchases and add-on subscriptions are not included in the main Prime membership lineup.
