Orange County offers federal funding to help homeowners repair Hurricane Milton damage

Workshops this week in Pine Hills and Apopka will help residents apply for Orange County Recovers assistance

Orange County has federal disaster recovery funding available for homeowners with unresolved damage from Hurricane Milton through its Orange County Recovers program. The program uses Community Development Block Grant–Disaster Recovery funds to assist eligible residents with repairs, rebuilding, or replacement of damaged homes. Two in-person workshops will be held on January 27 in Pine Hills and January 28 in Apopka, where applications will be accepted onsite, and residents can get help completing them.

Orange County’s Housing and Community Development Division has federal funding available through its Orange County Recovers program to help homeowners with unresolved damage from Hurricane Milton.

Residents are invited to attend upcoming workshops to learn more about the program and its funding eligibility criteria, and to receive assistance with completing an application. Applications for the Orange County Recovers program will be taken onsite.

The online application portal is now open for property owners with Hurricane Milton damage. Visit Apply – Orange County Recovers Program to apply. Applicants do not need to attend a learning workshop to apply.

The Orange County Recovers program uses federal Community Development Block Grant – Disaster Recovery funds to help residents of Orange County and its municipalities repair, rebuild, or replace eligible homes that have remaining damage from Hurricane Milton and Hurricane Ian.
