Former commissioners Rod Love, Dr. Robert Sindler, Victoria Siplin, Betsy VanderLey, and Scott Boyd announced their support this week, citing Moore’s experience, collaborative leadership style, and focus on infrastructure, environmental protection, and community investment.

Love, who represented Apopka at the county level, said Moore understands the importance of balancing growth with quality-of-life priorities.

“Commissioner Christine Moore understands that a strong Apopka means taking care of our seniors, supporting small businesses, and investing in children,” Love said. “She brings the experience, compassion, and leadership Apopka needs.”

Sindler pointed to Moore’s work on environmental initiatives and long-term planning, including efforts tied to trail expansion and water quality.

“She is deeply committed to completing our trail system and using the West Orange Trail as the catalyst to revitalize downtown Apopka,” Sindler said. “Her commitment to the environment … is exemplary.”

Siplin highlighted Moore’s work on infrastructure and housing policy, particularly in underserved areas.

“Together, we worked to improve infrastructure, protect our citizens, and add much-needed services,” Siplin said. “We also collaborated on policies to expand opportunities for affordable housing.”

VanderLey credited Moore’s role in securing funding for major infrastructure projects, including septic-to-sewer conversions.

“She was strategic in her governance style, which has proven to be a great benefit to her constituents,” VanderLey said.

Boyd emphasized Moore’s approach to decision-making.

“I was impressed with her collegiality and ability to listen to all constituents prior to making decisions,” Boyd said.

Moore said she was grateful for the endorsements and emphasized the importance of collaboration in public service.

“It takes collegiality, patience, and persistence to make progress in our community,” Moore said. “It was my honor to work alongside them.”

Moore, who currently serves as the District 2 Orange County commissioner, previously served on the Orange County School Board. She has been involved in major infrastructure initiatives, including the $125 million Wekiwa Springs septic-to-sewer conversion project in Apopka.
