From the Apopka Police Department
The Apopka Police Department responded to 1,668 calls for service, investigated 27 traffic crashes, and issued 65 citations during the reporting period of May 31 through June 6, according to the department's weekly arrest report.
Officers made 24 arrests during the week, including several felony cases involving violent offenses, weapons charges, narcotics possession, and fleeing law enforcement.

Among the most serious cases was the arrest of a 37-year-old Apopka woman on May 31, who was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon following an incident on Redtail Hawk Drive. Another arrest involved a 55-year-old Apopka woman charged with aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony and aggravated battery causing bodily harm or disability stemming from an incident on Lexington Parkway.
Police also reported two separate arrests involving possession of a firearm or ammunition by a convicted felon. One case involved a Tampa resident arrested on South Orange Blossom Trail on June 4, while the other involved an Apopka resident arrested on May 31.
Drug-related arrests included several charges for possession of controlled substances without a prescription, including a June 7 arrest involving fentanyl possession near the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Sheeler Avenue. Additional arrests involved drug paraphernalia possession and public alcohol violations.
Other notable arrests included charges of fleeing and eluding law enforcement, resisting officers without violence, trespassing, loitering and prowling, domestic battery, and multiple warrant-related offenses.
The report covers arrests made by the Apopka Police Department between May 31 and June 6 and does not indicate the disposition of any charges. All individuals are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
