From the Apopka Police Department
The Apopka Police Department made 31 adult arrests and four juvenile arrests during the week of July 5 through July 11, according to the department's weekly arrest report. The report also shows officers responded to 1,650 calls for service, investigated 35 traffic crashes, and issued 75 citations during the reporting period.
Among the arrests was a 25-year-old Tavares man charged with driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.15 or higher while a person under 18 was in the vehicle. The arrest occurred on July 10 near South Hawthorne Avenue and West Main Street.

Police also reported arrests involving battery, theft, drug possession, resisting an officer, domestic violence, trespassing on school grounds, false imprisonment, intimidation, driving with a suspended or invalid license, and several outstanding warrants.
One arrest involved a 39-year-old Apopka man charged with false imprisonment and assault on a person 65 years of age or older. Another involved a 28-year-old Orlando man facing charges of aggravated stalking, witness tampering, and battery.
Drug-related arrests included several individuals charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription, along with one case involving possession of drug paraphernalia.
The juvenile section of the report lists four arrests, including two 14-year-olds charged with burglary of an unoccupied structure. One of the juveniles also faces a charge of criminal mischief, causing more than $1,000 in property damage, while a 15-year-old was arrested on a probation violation.
The arrest report reflects allegations made by law enforcement. All defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
