The committee will also review the first plat submittal for another phase of Bronson Peak. The meeting begins at 9 am. It will be held on September 23 in the Apopka City Hall Commission Chambers.
Crossroads at Kelly Park Phase 3
The largest residential item on the agenda is a construction site plan for Crossroads at Kelly Park Phase 3.
The first submittal proposes the construction of 95 single-family lots along West Kelly Park Road. The property is owned by Kelly Park Land Investments LLC and Harriskp LLC, with Pape-Dawson Consulting Engineers representing the applicants.
The Development Review Committee brings representatives from multiple city departments together to review development proposals for compliance with Apopka’s planning, utility, transportation, fire-safety and other requirements. Its review may produce comments or required revisions before a project advances further through the city’s approval process.
Bronson Peak Phase 3A
The committee will review a final plat application for Bronson Peak Phase 3A at 1885 Boy Scout Road.
The application is the project’s first plat submittal. Toll Southeast LP Company Inc. owns the property, and Pape Dawson LLC is listed as the applicant.
A final plat establishes the legal arrangement of lots, streets, easements and other elements of a subdivision before it can be recorded.
Child care facility proposed on Chandler Road
Joy Child Academy is seeking a special exception to operate a child care facility at 4410 and 4420 Chandler Road.
The application is the first submittal for the proposed facility. The property is owned by 5N Holdings LLC, and Camila Neira is listed as the applicant.
A special exception allows a proposed use to be considered in a zoning district under conditions established by the city. The request may require additional public hearings and action beyond the committee’s technical review.
Three special events on the agenda
The committee will consider an Apopka Auto Event proposed for Nov. 13-22 at 657 W. Orange Blossom Trail.
The car show would operate from 9 am-8 pm each day. Driven 2 LLC and Carite of North Orlando are listed as the owners, with Cesar Orantes serving as the applicant.
Apopka High School is seeking approval for its homecoming parade from 5–7 pm October 8 at the Northwest Recreation Complex, 3710 Jason Dwelley Parkway.
The Vietnamese American Community of Central Florida is also proposing a two-day Vietnamese Lunar New Year Festival at the Apopka Amphitheater. The celebration is scheduled from 8 am-10 pm. January 23-24.
The agenda includes a public-comment period before the committee begins reviewing the applications.
