The not-for-profit group will feature large-scale displays and hands-on activities, including a 35-foot racing track for kids and families

RenLUG, the Apopka-based not-for-profit LEGO User Group (LUG), will be bringing its creative builds and interactive displays to two of Central Florida’s biggest fan and maker gatherings this fall: Brick Fan Event Orlando and Maker Faire Orlando.

Founded in 2019, RenLUG unites Adult Fans of LEGO (AFOLs) across Central Florida. Its core membership is in Seminole, Orange, and Lake counties, and outreach extends into Osceola, Sumter, Brevard, and Volusia. As a community-driven not-for-profit, the group is dedicated to sharing creativity, collaboration, and education through LEGO. Its projects often blend engineering, art, and storytelling while supporting STEM learning in the region.

At Brick Fan Event Orlando, RenLUG members will display expansive themed dioramas and original creations, ranging from medieval castles to modern cityscapes. The event provides a family-friendly space for LEGO fans of all ages to see large-scale builds up close, meet local builders, and spark their own creativity.

Later this season, RenLUG will appear at Maker Faire Orlando, where the group will highlight LEGO as a tool for both play and innovation. Visitors can expect not only detailed displays but also interactive STEM activities. A major highlight will be the RenLUG Royal Rally Racing, featuring a 35-foot LEGO race track where kids and adults can design, build, and race their own LEGO cars. This hands-on challenge combines creativity with friendly competition, bringing the excitement of racing to the maker stage.

“These events are an opportunity for us to share our passion with the wider community,” said RenLUG leadership. “As a not-for-profit group, we want to inspire kids, families, and fellow makers to see LEGO not just as a toy, but as a medium for art, innovation, and learning.”

Both events promise to draw thousands of attendees and provide RenLUG with a stage to demonstrate the creativity and community spirit that have made them a fixture in Central Florida’s fan and maker culture.
