Artists across Central Florida and beyond have a chance to leave a lasting mark on one of Orange County’s newest community spaces. The Orange County Public Art Review Board is inviting individual artists and artist teams to submit proposals for original public art installations to be featured in the Senior Center at the upcoming Orange County Multicultural Center in Pine Hills.

The Senior Center, expected to open in 2026, is designed to serve as a welcoming, inclusive space for seniors in the Pine Hills area. It will offer a wide range of programs—from exercise and wellness classes to craft workshops, games, and social events—all aimed at promoting connection, health, and lifelong learning.

Artwork selected for this project should reflect the spirit of community, cultural pride, and unity that defines Pine Hills and honors the contributions of its senior residents. Artists are encouraged to draw on themes of resilience, diversity, joy, and generational storytelling.

The Multicultural Center will also include an event hall and an Innovation Center slated to open next year, making it a major hub for education, celebration, and community engagement in west Orange County.

The deadline to apply is Tuesday, September 9, 2025, by 11:59 p.m., and submissions must be entered through the CaFÉ (Call for Entry) platform. Interested artists can access the application here: https://tinyurl.com/2vev9pet.

“This is a unique opportunity for artists to help shape a space that will inspire and uplift generations to come,” said a representative from the Orange County Arts & Cultural Affairs office. “We’re excited to see work that celebrates the strength, diversity, and creativity of the Pine Hills community.”

The Orange County Public Art Review Board will review all submissions. Later in the selection process, finalists may be asked to present more detailed proposals.
