The 64th Annual Apopka Art and Foliage Festival, hosted by the GFWC Apopka Woman’s Club in partnership with the City of Apopka, will take place Saturday, April 25, from 9 am to 5 pm, and Sunday, April 26, from 10 am to 4 pm at Kit Land Nelson Park, 35 S. Park Ave.
Admission is free, making the two-day event an easy outing for families, gardeners, and art lovers alike.
The festival features juried fine artists and crafters alongside some of Central Florida’s top foliage growers, blending handmade artwork with the region’s deep roots in horticulture. Shoppers can browse a wide range of items, including paintings, photography, pottery, jewelry, woodworking, candles, and specialty plants.
This year’s spotlight plant is milkweed — a pollinator-friendly species and essential host plant for monarch butterflies — highlighting the festival’s ongoing focus on conservation and sustainable gardening.
Beyond the vendor booths, the weekend includes live music, food vendors, a wine and beer garden, and a kids' zone presented by Home Depot. Parking is $5, with proceeds benefiting Apopka Boy Scout Troop 211.
Organizers say the event is about more than shopping and entertainment. One hundred percent of festival proceeds are returned to the community through local donations and scholarships.
Applications are currently open for artists, plant specialists, and concessionaires interested in participating.
