United States wins Ryder Cup

The Ryder Cup has returned to the United States for the first time since 2008.

Patrick Reed beat Rory McIlroy in the first match of the session. Rickie Fowler came from behind to defeat Justin Rose at the 18th hole.

Phil Mickelson and Sergio Garcia halved their match despite scoring a combined 19 birdies in their match.

Ryan Moore tapped in for par on the 18th green to beat Lee Westwood and secure the Ryder Cup for the United States.
