Breaking News: APD responds to bank robbery in Apopka

Officers from the Apopka Police Department responded to a bank robbery this afternoon in Apopka.

According to the APD report, at approximately 12:40 pm, Apopka Police Officers responded to a Bank Robbery at the Fifth Third Bank, located at 1495 Rock Springs Road.

The suspect (pictured below) entered the bank, walked behind the teller counter, and removed money from an open drawer before fleeing the scene on foot.

No injuries resulted from this incident.

This continues to be an active investigation, and members of the APD Criminal Investigations Unit are actively working to gather additional information.
