Winn-Dixie unveils newly remodeled Apopka store

New store concepts and features provide customers with enhanced shopping experiences

Winn-Dixie will officially reopen two recently remodeled stores in Apopka and Longwood in response to customers who asked for improved shopping experiences. As part of the grand openings, and to officially reintroduce each community to the new and improved stores, simultaneous ribbon cuttings took place today at each store, located at 1565 US 441 N. Apopka, FL 32712 and at 951 W. State Road, 434 Longwood, FL 32750.

City leaders and guests including Apopka Mayor Bryan Nelson, and Orange County Commissioner Christine Moore will join Winn-Dixie leadership at each ceremony to celebrate the store openings. Additionally, the stores will host community celebrations for customers on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. to continue the festivities.

With fresh concepts and features, customers will instantly notice the enhancements throughout each new and improved store, including:

• New facade signage and a fresh, contemporary color palette and modern store signage inside
• Newly updated farm-fresh produce department including an expanded selection of fruits, vegetables and organic varieties
• An improved deli with expanded offerings including a wide assortment of easy lunch and dinner options, hot bar with rotisserie chicken, wing bar, Smokehouse BBQ, ready-made salads and sandwiches, along with hand-rolled sushi
• Expanded bakery department with new selections, displays and fresh bread daily
• Full-service meat department with a butcher on-site to make fresh cuts of meat by request and fresh, delicious ready-to-grill options
• Updated seafood department with expanded frozen and fresh, on ice, seafood varieties and convenient “Seafood Made Easy” meal solutions to cut down on cooking time at home
• New Natural & Organic section offering a large selection of gluten-free and allergen-free products and more than 1,500 new natural and organic products across the store
• Updated floral department with a fresh, new look and a wide variety of new products arriving daily to help customers find the perfect bouquet for any occasion
• Improved and expanded beer and wine selections with 143 new fine wines and 27 beer selections, including local and craft beer
• Updated liquor store with price-match guarantee on a wide selection of wine, beer and spirits
• New Health and Beauty section with expanded offerings

Customers are invited to the grand opening ceremonies at each location on Wednesday, Oct. 30 to check out each Winn-Dixie’s new look, expanded offerings and savings. Other activities include DJ entertainment and check presentations to community partners including the Apopka Fire Department at the Apopka store and Longwood Elementary School at the Longwood store. The first 100 customers to arrive at each store at 8 a.m. on will receive a free mystery gift card valued between $5 and $250.

Additionally, to show appreciation for their continued support, the Apopka and Longwood stores will host community celebrations on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 10 a.m. with live entertainment, DJs, interactive activities, giveaways, delicious food sampling and more. One hundred dollar gift card giveaways will held every 30 minutes from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Must be present to win.

The new and improved Apopka Winn-Dixie, located at 951 W. State Road 434, and the newly remodeled Longwood Winn-Dixie, located at 1565 US 441 N., are open from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m. Both locations are open seven days a week.
