Baron, a community advocate, retired law enforcement officer, and former small business owner, received endorsements from Amy Mercado, Orange County Property Appraiser, and Melissa Byrd, Orange County School Board member.

“Apopka deserves leaders who listen, lead with integrity, and fight for a future that works for every family, and that’s exactly who Yesenia Baron is,” Mercado said. “As a retired law enforcement officer, a former small business owner, and a dedicated community advocate, Yesenia understands what it takes to keep neighborhoods safe, support local entrepreneurs, and manage growth responsibly. Her vision for a vibrant downtown and a stronger, more connected Apopka is exactly what the city needs. I’m proud to endorse Yesenia because she leads with heart, purpose, and a deep commitment to serving the community.”

Byrd also voiced her support, calling Baron a proven public servant.

“Yesenia epitomizes what you look for in an elected official — a true public servant that ultimately wants to make her community a better place,” Byrd said. “Her integrity, strength, and commitment will make her an excellent city commissioner.”

Baron said she is grateful for the early support and emphasized the shared values reflected in the endorsements.
