From the Orange County Newsroom
By a majority vote of citizens, the Orange County Charter was amended during the 2024 General Election to create the Transportation Mobility Advisory Commission (TransMAC).
But what exactly is TransMAC and how could it benefit Apopka?
Seven appointed citizen representatives will hold meetings and public hearings and make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners (BCC). Their recommendations will focus on proposed expenditures for transportation purposes before inclusion in the proposed County annual budget; transportation and mobility innovation; and review of past transportation expenditures.
The Organizational meeting is Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 6 p.m., in the Orange County Administration Center County Commission Chambers.
