Walk with Compassion is the walk to end child poverty.
Compassion International’s new fundraising walk series, Walk with Compassion, was created to address the challenges of vulnerable children around the world that go beyond what monthly sponsorship covers.
The money raised helps to fund critical needs such as:
- Medical emergencies
- Disaster relief
- HIV/AIDS response
- Caring for unsponsored children
- Clean water
- And much more
According to the organizers, fundraising provides a tangible opportunity to teach children about the importance of caring for “the least of these.” They can learn that God’s love for children living in poverty is no different than His love for us.
The fundraiser is designed for young and old. No matter your age or circumstances, everyone has the power to make a difference in the life of a child. The event will inspire friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to unite for a common purpose.
The Central Florida Walk with Compassion will take place on November 5, 2016 at Blue Jacket Park in Orlando.
