TALLAHASSEE – Florida State Parks invites the public to help select the winners of the Capture the Real Florida photo contest by voting for the 2025 People’s Choice award. Photographers from across the state have captured Florida’s scenic beaches, historic landmarks, and unique wildlife. Now it’s your turn to decide the favorites.

"Florida’s state parks are full of moments that inspire and connect us," said Chuck Hatcher, Director of Florida State Parks. "The Capture the Real Florida photo contest gives visitors and photographers a chance to share those special moments with the world, and now the public gets to help decide which images truly capture the spirit of our parks."

  • Waterscapes
  • Park Adventures
  • Wildlife
  • Historic Encounters

Florida State Parks is excited to make the Capture the Real Florida photo contest a yearly fall tradition. Starting in 2026, entries will open each November, giving photographers time throughout the year to capture their favorite park moments.

The contest is presented in collaboration with Tyler Technologies, which provides the reservation system for overnight stays across Florida’s state parks. For complete rules, submission guidelines, and prize details, visit the photo contest website.
