As we approach our next city elections on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, I am respectfully requesting that our Apopka registered voters cast their vote either by mail, early voting or in person.  Your vote is very important.  Your vote will determine the future of our city.

As your city Commissioner and Vice Mayor, my platform has been that the residents of Apopka, businesses, and those involved in our community be participants and aware of how the city is managed.  Second, I’ve always encouraged all registered voters to cast their vote for the person they believe has Apopka in their best interest, not political or personal agenda(s).  As many of you know, I believe that transparency, honesty, and accessibility are important traits for any elected official.  As I seek re-election as your representative on the city council, I continue to emphasize these traits and ensure they’re not compromised by special interests.  When decisions are made on the council, our Apopka community's well-being should be considered first, especially the safety of our residents and children.

It is an honor and a privilege to represent you in my capacity, ten years as your Commissioner, and two years as Commissioner/Vice Mayor.  I believe this experience has enhanced and prepared me to continue representing you on the city council with commitment and dedication.

Thank you, and I respectfully ask for your VOTE on March 10, 2026.

Commissioner Diane Velazquez, Vice Mayor
