Updating a Breaking News Story:
From The Orange County Sheriff's Office:
At approximately 10:43 PM last night, Orange County Deputies responded to an Attempted Robbery call on Lisa Lane in Apopka.
When the deputies arrived on the scene, the victim, a 49-year-old male, said that he was in the backyard of his residence when he was approached by two armed and masked male subjects, approximately 18-20 years-old. The victim described the suspects as white males, one armed with a handgun and the other armed with a shotgun.
The victim said he ran into his residence after the subjects told him to surrender his wallet. The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound by the subject displaying the handgun as he ran into his residence. The victim was able to maintain his wallet, and he was transported to Orlando Regional Medical Center.
A Robbery Detective responded to the scene. Deputies and a k-9 Unit conducted a search for the suspects who are still at large.
