Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision in Pasco County last night that resulted in the death of a motorcyclist.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 6:10 PM, a Yamaha motorcycle, operated by a 19-year-old New Port Richey man, was traveling eastbound on SR-52.
At the same time, a motorhome, driven by a 60-year-old Hudson woman, was traveling northbound on US-41.
At the intersection of the two highways, the motorcyclist attempted to turn right onto US-41, overturned, traveled into the northbound lanes of US-41, and collided with the motorhome.
Transported to an area hospital, the motorcyclist later expired from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the names of the driver or motorcyclist involved in the collision.
