Troopers from the Florida Highway Patrol responded to a two-vehicle collision yesterday in Pasco County that resulted in the death of a driver.
According to the FHP report, at approximately 3:05 pm a tractor-trailer, driven by a 21-year-old Fresno, California man, was traveling northbound on US-301.
at the same time, a Jeep Cherokee, driven by a 75-year-old Dade City woman, was traveling southbound on US-301.
At the US-98 Bypass intersection, the first vehicle turned left into the path of and was struck by the second vehicle.
Transported to an area hospital, the driver of the second vehicle later died from injuries suffered during the crash.
The FHP did not release the names of the drivers involved in the crash.
