Suzanne Kidd, the leading vote-getter in the Apopka City Commission Seat #1 election, has withdrawn from the runoff, leaving Alexander Smith as the City Commissioner-Elect of Seat #1.

Orange County Supervisor of Elections Bill Cowles confirmed that the Seat #1 runoff is canceled, leaving only a Seat #2 runoff between Commissioner Diane Velazquez and Alice Nolan.
Mail-in ballots for the Seat #2 runoff will be delayed by one day because of the Seat#1 cancellation, according to Cowles. Ballots will be mailed Tuesday.
