Training opportunities for single mothers through CareerSource Central Florida

CareerSource Central Florida (CSCF) has a great complimentary training opportunity starting on August 21st to support single mothers and connect them with family-friendly employment.

Through the Career + Care initiative we are offering two training sessions for participants to explore opportunities to earn a certification and advance their skills in two or six weeks.

 Two-week Soft Skills Development

Participants could earn certification for Florida Ready to Work and learn about resources in our community, presented by the Early Learning Coalition of Osceola.

Where: CareerSource Central Florida Osceola Career Center at Valencia College Campus | 1800 Denn John Lane, CIT Building, Suite 300, Kissimmee FL 34744

When: August 21-31, 2023 | Monday – Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Six-week Microsoft Office Specialist Certification

Participants will focus on obtaining a Microsoft Office Specialist Certification and in addition, life and career skill development including resume development, professional dress, financial literacy, and more.

Where: Central Florida Urban League | 2610 Orange Center Blvd., Orlando, FL 32805

When: August 21 – September 28, 2023 | Monday – Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Who can participate in Career + Care?

  • Single mothers to be
  • Single mothers with children under 4 years of age
  • Must reside in Lake, Orange, Osceola, Seminole or Sumter Counties
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
