Together, We Make Apopka Stronger

Celebrating a decade of partnership with local businesses & nonprofits

Posted

For ten years, The Apopka Voice has been honored to tell the story of Apopka. But our journey has never been a solo one. We’ve walked it side-by-side with the heart of this city: our local nonprofits and Apopka businesses. Today, we pause to say thank you to both.

Thank you, Apopka businesses, for your support

From the very beginning, our mission has been to engage, inform, and inspire. That mission has come alive not only through the stories we report, but through the partnerships that fuel our ability to serve Apopka.

To the many local businesses who have partnered with us over the past decade through advertising, we want you to know that we appreciate the value you add to Apopka, and the support you've offered to our newsroom. You have made a tremendous difference as we could not provide this service without you. Your partnerships allow us - as an independent news site - to continue covering the important news of Apopka every single day.

Whether for a season or for years, we thank you for your integrity, service-mindset, and partnership with us:

Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center; AdventHealth, Apopka; Animal Camp of Apopka; Apopka Chamber of Commerce; Apopka Christian Learning Center; Apopka International Jazz Festival; Baptiste Orthodontics & Dentistry for Kids; Central Florida Community Arts; Central Florida Soccer Club; Edward Strohm of Farmers Insurance; Eggs Up Grill; Eric Mock, Realtor; Florida Blue; Florida Jerk & Musical Festival; Forest Lake Academy; Fox Valley Farm & Hops; Goliath Ventures; Heartland Haven Foundation; Kids at the Well Summer Camp, Patmos Chapel; Lake Apopka Natural Gas District; Loaves & Fishes of Apopka; Matthew Aungst, Apopka Accident Attorney; Museum of the Apopkans; Orange County Government; Orange County Library System; Quest, Camp Thunderbird; Shren Yeager, State Farm Insurance; SMS Marketing; Well Painted of Central Florida; and Women’s College Basketball Event of Wide World of Sports.

Thank you, Apopka nonprofits, for your service

Another key way in which The Apopka Voice has partnered through the years is through building bridges with our frontline, local nonprofits.

Every year we choose four Apopka-based nonprofits to provide three months of free advertising to, which includes ROS ads on our site, social media & newsletter ads, and three articles published and shared everywhere. This support is in addition to the monthly free press release we offer to all local nonprofits. We believe we grow stronger and go further when we grow and go together, and it is why we will continue finding ways to support the mission of those who serve our most vulnerable every day.

Thank you to all the Apopka nonprofits we have partnered with thus far. Your vision, service, hearts and hands make Apopka better:

8 Cents in a Jar; Above & Beyond Pregnancy Center; Armando Borjas Jr. Scholarship Foundation; Avian Reconditioning Center; Breast Cancer Supply Center, The Open Door Ministries; Candy’s Cats; Central Florida Soccer Club; Farmworker’s Association of Florida, Apopka; Habitat for Humanity, Seminole County-Apopka; Heartland Haven Foundation; Hope CommUnity Center; Loaves & Fishes of Apopka; Main Street Apopka; New Journey Youth; Re-Imagine Communities; and St. Mary Protectress Ukrainian Catholic Church in Apopka.

This year we’re looking forward to providing free advertising to the Orange Audubon Society; South Apopka Panthers; and Wekiva Wilderness Trust… and looking for our fourth. If you have a recommendation, please don’t hesitate to share it with us

One of our most rewarding experiences in telling the story of Apopka every day is partnering with each of you - readers, residents, businesses and nonprofits - to make Apopka a better place for all. We couldn't serve the community without your support, and we hope that, in turn, The Apopka Voice team helps make your role and service in the community all the more successful, impactful, and enjoyable, as well.

Thank you all again for all you do, and for allowing us the privilege of working with, beside, and for you in this way. You continue to inspire us every day!
