The Grove Counseling Center Appoints New CEO

Maria Chiantello was recently appointed Chief Executive Officer of The Grove Counseling Center.

Chiantello previously held the position of Director of Corporate Compliance and Special Programs and Interim CEO.

“The Grove has a number of exciting initiatives planned for the coming year and there is no better person to lead us in 2016,” said Shirley Adams, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Maria is a seasoned executive with 25 years of experience in human services and extensive knowledge of The Grove employees, contractors and our community partners. Additionally, in her time as the interim CEO she has demonstrated an exemplary commitment to The Grove’s mission and vision.”

Since joining The Grove in 2013, Maria has spearheaded a number of successful programs and grants including the Prevention and Outreach program, the Wraparound program and the National School Lunch program, among others.

A special committee of the Board, along with the assistance by BlackRain Partners, conducted a thorough search and vetting process to identify the ideal candidate to lead The Grove.

Maria previously served as the Director of Operations for Spectrum Community Services of Indiana and held varying positions through the years as a case management supervisor and case manager. Her dedication was honored when she received professional congressional recognition as a Human Service Executive from United States House of Representatives. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Business from Indiana University.
