The Apopka Historical Society presents a night with the Nutcracker

Posted

The Apopka Historical Society invites the community to join them for the Second Annual Nutcracker Christmas! This festive holiday event features a display with hundreds of nutcrackers, seasonal entertainment, ballerinas, free face painting, and family-friendly activities. There will also be chance drawings for a 6-foot nutcracker, bicycles, toys, and other desirable items. The Museum’s gift shop will also be open to the public for holiday shopping. Museum tours will also be available with museum staff. This event is FREE to the public and is sure to become a holiday tradition for your family!

The mission of the Apopka Historical Society is to collect, interpret and present the history of the City of Apopka as well as surrounding North West Central Florida communities. AHS is dedicated to education and awareness of the stories of the people that helped grow this beloved community into what it has become today. Through the generous donations of the community, AHS has been able to preserve dozens of precious historical items to keep on display for all who visit the museum. Maribel Brinkle, the museum director, often expresses that the Museum of the Apopkan’s belongs to the community. It is her heart to have more people in the community be aware of the history of Apopka.

AHS hopes this FREE event is a huge success for the community and the museum's goals to continue preserving the history of Apopka and surrounding communities.

The Second Annual Nutcracker Christmas will be on December 11th from 2:00 to 6:00 pm at the Museum of Apopkans (122 East 5th Street).
