Sunrail begins Saturday service tomorrow

Posted

This weekend marks the running of a pilot program of SunRail on select Saturdays. This special service is a privately funded initiative. To mark this event and in observance of Mobility Week, SunRail is holding a customer appreciation day tomorrow, Friday, November 4 from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., with surprise giveaways on station platforms—while supplies last.

On Saturday, November 5, SunRail begins special service with the first train leaving southbound from the DeBary station at 2 p.m. The last northbound train leaves the Sand Lake Road station at 12:15 a.m. Sunday, and arrives in DeBary at 1:18 a.m. Regular fares apply. Future Saturday service dates are being explored beyond November 5.

Sunraila asks riders to be careful around trains, railroad crossings, and while at station platforms. Be smart. Be safe. For more information about SunRail, including fares, schedule and station locations, please visit www.sunrail.com.
