The 2016 Summer Olympic Medal Count - Day 12
Team USA extended its lead over China on Day 12 by winning nine medals. The U.S. now has 84 medals to China's 51. Great Britian is now only one medal behind China.
The U.S. women won Gold, Solver and Bronze in the 100m hurdles. The women continued to dominate in track and field by winning Gold and Silver in the long jump. For the first time in four Olympics the U.S. had to settle for Bronze in women's beach volleyball.
