Seize the day; don't delay

By Charles Towne

Do we respond to God’s wonderful sweet voice by allowing others to see our Lord Jesus Christ in us?

Not long ago I was in my favorite Publix grocery store, (you know the one, its out on Rock Springs Rd. and Welch,) and I overheard two ladies talking about God, and what He has done, and is doing for them.

Anyone that knows me recognizes that I had to get involved, so, after introductions I learned that they both attend Temple of Faith church in Apopka. We prayed together after which we exchanged contact information, after which we went our separate ways.

As so often happens in such cases, I didn’t really expect to hear from either of them ever again, I mean, a scrap of paper is so easily lost, and other things come up, and even though it was a beautiful moment, we so easily forget.

But, SURPRISE! The following morning I received a phone call from one of those dear souls.

Oh, what a profound blessing! She so inspired me with her call I had to share the blessing with you by talking about procrastination. (And by the way, this dear sister is not a procrastinator!)

How often do we neglect the obvious? We know we should do something, perhaps make that call, write that letter, pray for someone, or visit someone in the hospital. You know what I’m talking about: but we put it off until a more convenient time.

Don’t delay. As the ancient quote so aptly says, SEIZE THE DAY! Don’t put it off until tomorrow, DO IT NOW!

Change OR BUILDING NEW HABITS is never easy, in fact, it can be downright painful!

Procrastination is a common habit, a habit that we all know we need to break.

Don’t put off until tomorrow what you know you should do today.

Does someone out there need to hear your voice? Call them today.

The world is such a lonely place for so many people. Souls are languishing for want of a kind word, they need to know they are appreciated, cared for, and loved.

Don’t delay.

We are here for a purpose. Don’t delay! Call someone today. Who knows what profound results your call will have.

Live fully,

Love openly,

Make a difference, today
