Consolidated Rail Infrastructure and Safety Improvements Grant Program – Federal Railroad Administration
Award: $157,683.00
Description: The Department of Transportation has awarded funds to the Florida Strategies for Reducing Railway Trespassing program. The funding launches a pilot program using drone technology, closed-circuit television with remote monitoring and geographic information system spatial analysis to aid partnerships among local law enforcement agencies to combat trespassing in Volusia, Seminole, Orange and Osceola counties.

Women in Apprenticeship and Nontraditional Occupations Technical Assistance Grant Program – Department of Labor
Award Ceiling: $500,000
Application Deadline: July 8, 2019
Description: Applicants may propose to provide technical assistance to support women’s participation and success in the full range of industries in which women are historically underrepresented or where women are disproportionately concentrated in the lower-wage occupations. Such industries include but are not limited to advanced manufacturing, construction, energy, health care, information technology, finance, and transportation. This program is intended to provide technical assistance (TA) to employers and labor unions to encourage the employment of women in apprentice occupations and nontraditional occupations. Community-Based Organizations are eligible to apply for these grants.

2019 Buildings Energy Efficiency Frontiers & Innovation Technologies (BENEFIT) – Department of Energy
Award Ceiling: $6,000,000

Description: The 2019 Buildings Energy Efficiency Frontiers and Innovation Technologies Funding Opportunity Announcement will invest up to $47,000,000, to allow all interested parties (universities, corporations, non-profits, national labs) to research and develop innovative technologies that will improve energy productivity, improve flexibility, security, and resiliency, as well as lower energy costs. With this Funding Opportunity Announcement, Building Technologies Office intends to fund high-impact, early-stage research in the following three topic areas:

2019 Transforming America's Response to Elder Abuse: Mobilizing Attorneys for Older Victims of Abuse & Financial Exploitation – Department of Justice

Description: This program will provide increased legal services for older victims of crime (particularly in rural areas), educate attorneys and allied professionals about the needs of older victims, and increase coordinated multidisciplinary responses in supporting older victims of crime. Eligible applicants are limited to nonprofit organizations (including tribal nonprofit organizations), faith- and community-based organizations, institutions of higher education (including tribal institutions of higher education), public agencies, and federally recognized Indian tribal governments.

2019 Direct Services to Support Victims of Human Trafficking – Department of Justice

Advanced Transportation and Congestion Management Technologies Deployment Initiative – Department of Transportation

Description: The Federal Highway Administration will provide grants to eligible entities to develop model deployment sites for large scale installation and operation of advanced transportation technologies to improve safety, efficiency, system performance, and infrastructure return on investment. CyberCorps(R) Scholarship for Service – National Science Foundation
Award Ceiling: $5,000,000
Application Deadline: July 31, 2019
Description: Cyberspace has transformed the daily lives of people. Society’s overwhelming reliance on cyberspace, however, has exposed its fragility and vulnerabilities: corporations, agencies, national infrastructure, and individuals continue to suffer cyber-attacks. Achieving truly secure cyberspace requires addressing both challenging scientific and engineering problems involving many components of a system, and vulnerabilities that stem from human behaviors and choices. Proposals may only be submitted by Institutions of Higher Education accredited in, and having a campus located in the US, acting on behalf of their faculty members. Community colleges are eligible only as either non-lead collaborating institutions or sub-awardees of the partnering four-year CyberCorps(R) Scholarship for Service institutions as described in the Program Description section.

2019 Our Town – National Endowment for the Arts

Description: Our Town is the National Endowment for the Arts’ creative placemaking grants program. These grants support projects that integrate arts, culture, and design activities into efforts that strengthen communities by advancing local economic, physical, and/or social outcomes.
