For Apopka viewers planning their next streaming night, the schedule offers a mix of series and movies spread throughout the month. This preview covers confirmed releases and a special live-sports lineup; a complete list of newly licensed movies and television seasons wasn't available for verification at publication.
‘The Greatest’ opens the month’s major premieres
“The Greatest” arrives Nov. 4 with Jaalen Best portraying Muhammad Ali. Amazon describes the production as the first authorized scripted series about the champion’s life, with Ali’s widow, Lonnie Ali, serving as an executive producer.
The story explores his family relationships and experiences outside the ring alongside his boxing career. All eight episodes will debut together, making it an option for viewers who prefer watching a season at their own pace.
“Campus Drivers” follows Nov. 6. Adapted from C.S. Quill’s novels, the six-episode French young-adult series centers on college students Lane and Lois, whose unexpected living arrangement develops into a complicated romance.
Middle-earth and ‘The Chosen’ return
“The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” begins its third season Nov. 11. The story moves forward several years from the previous season, with Sauron’s campaign threatening Middle-earth and opposing forces working to prevent his domination.
“The Chosen” returns for its sixth season Nov. 15. The historical drama continues its portrayal of Jesus and the people around him, though the production has separately planned a theatrical release for the season’s crucifixion finale.
‘Madden’ moves from the sidelines to streaming
Football fans will have a new movie to consider Nov. 18, when “Madden” arrives. Nicolas Cage portrays John Madden as he goes from championship-winning coach to broadcaster and the name behind a hugely successful football video game franchise.
The film also explores Madden’s relationship with Raiders owner Al Davis. Its release adds another sports biography to the month, following the earlier arrival of “The Greatest.”
“Perfect Liars” premieres Nov. 20, bringing a university-set thriller to the schedule. Based on Alex Mírez’s novel, the Spanish film follows Jude Derry as she enters the orbit of a powerful family while investigating her brother’s death.
‘Blade Runner’ arrives before Thanksgiving
“Blade Runner 2099” premieres Nov. 25, with Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer leading the cast. Set five decades after “Blade Runner 2049,” the limited series follows a fugitive and a replicant whose investigation threatens to expose a destabilizing secret.
All eight episodes will arrive together. Silka Luisa serves as showrunner, with original “Blade Runner” director Ridley Scott among the executive producers.
Black Friday brings golf, football and basketball
Prime Video’s Nov. 27 sports schedule begins with the Farmers Insurance Skins Game at 9 a.m. Eastern, followed by the Denver Broncos visiting the Pittsburgh Steelers at 3 p.m. Basketball takes over that evening, with the Miami Heat facing the New York Knicks at 7 p.m. and the Los Angeles Lakers visiting the San Antonio Spurs at 9:30 p.m.
Amazon says all four events will be available without a Prime membership or Prime Video subscription. For viewers taking a break from holiday shopping, the lineup offers a full day of live competition.
