With the holiday season upon us, many people are looking for ways to support local hunger relief efforts. One way to give back while also taking a break from preparing this year’s holiday party, lunch, or family dinner is by hiring Plate Above Catering to handle it for you.

A social enterprise, Plate Above Catering is the exclusive caterer of Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida and provides financial support for the food bank’s Culinary Training Program through the revenue generated from its catering services.

“This is the time of year when families gather around the table and connect over a delicious feast,” said Chef Jill Holland, general manager at Plate Above Catering. “By using Plate Above Catering this holiday season, you’re not only creating unforgettable moments, but you’re also feeding hope to a neighbor who wants to provide a better future for themselves and their families.”

Plate Above’s holiday catering options include several different packages or a la carte menu offerings. Deadlines to place an order for the following holidays are:

  • Thanksgiving: Wednesday, Nov. 15
