From Phillis Wheatley Elementary
The Phillis Wheatley Elementary School PTA is thrilled to invite families and community members to its Annual Community Family Engagement Trunk or Treat, taking place on Friday, October 31, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on the school campus. Admission is FREE and all are welcome!
This highly anticipated, family-friendly event promises a fun-filled evening featuring decorated trunks, tents, and tables overflowing with candy, games, music, and festive activities for children of all ages. Designed as a safe and spirited alternative to traditional trick-or-treating, Trunk or Treat offers a vibrant space for students, families, local organizations, and community partners to come together and celebrate.
“Our goal is to create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment where our children can enjoy Halloween while fostering meaningful connections between families, staff, and the broader community,” said a representative from the Phillis Wheatley PTA.
Local businesses, churches, civic groups, and volunteers will join forces with school staff and parents to host decorated trunks and activity stations. The event serves not only as a festive celebration but also as a powerful demonstration of community collaboration and support for our students.
The PTA encourages community members to get involved—host a trunk, donate candy, or volunteer to help make the event a success. There are many ways to participate and help ensure a spooktacular evening for all.
