The Orlando Regional Realtor Association (ORRA) made its endorsements today for the Seat #3 and Seat #4 City Commission elections in Apopka. The ORRA is endorsing both incumbents - Sam Ruth in the Seat #3 race and Bill Arrowsmith in the Seat #4 election. The ORRA also made endorsements in elections being held in Ocoee, Belle Isle, Maitland and Winter Park.
In its press release the ORRA specified its selection of Arrowsmith because he is a realtor.
“REALTORS® understand the important role that city regulations and enforcement have on real estate and homeownership issues, such as property taxes, home values, and community development,” says ORRA President John Lazenby, Colony Realty Group, Inc. “The Orlando Regional REALTOR® Association is proud to recommend REALTOR® Bill Arrowsmith."
Because of his support of issues related to realtors, Ruth was endorsed by ORRA.
"ORRA considers each candidate up for election based on his or her past voting record and/or sensitivity to real estate issues such as private property rights. Candidates are invited to participate in a screening process by the ORRA Candidate Screening Subcommittee, which then makes candidate recommendations to the ORRA Board of Directors for final approval."
