Job Fair scheduled for Saturday

Taking a job as a school bus driver is not just a means of earning a living; it plays a crucial role in the daily lives of children and their families.

School bus drivers are responsible for safely transporting students to and from school, creating a reliable bridge between home and education.

Beyond the fundamental task of driving, these individuals also contribute to the overall well-being of children by fostering a sense of community on the bus, teaching important safety practices, and often being a reassuring presence in the lives of young students.

Their responsibility is significant, as they help ensure that children arrive at school ready to learn and return home safely at the end of the day. This vital role underscores the importance of teamwork in education, as drivers often collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to create a supportive environment for every child's journey.

Orange County Public Schools Transportation Services is still looking to hire additional bus drivers and mechanics for the 2024-25 school year. This is an exciting time to join the team and earn a highly competitive salary. Bus Operators may receive up to $10,800 in incentives and $16,000 in bonuses over two years.

Interested candidates are encouraged to attend the next scheduled job fair.
