Orange County encourages residents to participate in DEA National Drug Takeback Day

National Prescription Take Back Day is set for Saturday

 The Office for a Drug-Free Community encourages Orange County residents to participate in National Prescription Take Back Day on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. An initiative of the United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), this event provides a safe and responsible way for residents to get rid of unused or expired prescription drugs and mitigate the potential risk of medication abuse.

Related: New nonopioid approved for moderate-to-severe acute pain.

The initiative will accept drugs in tablet or liquid form. Needles will not be accepted. Locations within Orange County include:
