Posted

In Summary:

This December, couples seeking a magical holiday wedding experience can say “I do” inside the Downtown Orlando Courthouse, where the Orange County Clerk of Courts is debuting its festive Winter Wonderland Weddings. The ceremony room will be transformed into a warm, winter-inspired setting complete with holiday décor, offering a unique and joyful atmosphere for tying the knot. Ceremonies are available on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding the Christmas holiday closure from December 24 to 26. Both appointments and walk-ins are accepted, although early registration is encouraged due to limited availability. Standard marriage license rules, fees, and the 60-day license validity period still apply, and traditional courthouse ceremonies remain available year-round at all Clerk locations, including Winter Park, Apopka, and Ocoee.

This December, the Orange County Clerk of Courts invites couples to step into a storybook setting with its debut Winter Wonderland Weddings, where holiday charm and heartfelt vows come together to create unforgettable moments of love.

Throughout the month of December, the Downtown Orlando Courthouse ceremony room will be transformed into a cozy winter retreat — complete with winter holiday décor and seasonal touches.

“Our Clerk family is excited to introduce Winter Wonderland Weddings as a joyful new way for couples to begin their journey together,” said Tiffany Moore Russell, Orange County Clerk of Courts. “We wanted to create an experience that captures the essence and spirit of the season — one filled with warmth, joy, and love.”

Ceremonies are available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., except for the Christmas holiday, during which the courthouse and the Clerk of Courts will be closed on December 24 - 26, 2025. Appointments and walk-ins are available. Appointment availability is limited, so we encourage couples to register early to secure their preferred time. Please note that the marriage license and ceremony each require separate fees. For Florida residents, specific requirements may apply, including a three-day waiting period prior to the ceremony.

For more details on requirements and fees, please visit the marriage section of our website at www.myorangeclerk.com.

Couples should also remember that marriage licenses are valid for only 60 days, and the ceremony must take place within that period for the marriage to be valid.

Traditional ceremonies remain available year-round at all Clerk’s Office locations, including Winter Park, Apopka, and Ocoee, during normal business hours.
