Orange County Clerk of Courts hosting holiday brunch for local seniors

Posted

Orange County Clerk of Courts Tiffany Moore Russell is excited to announce the return of her annual “Senior Holiday Brunch” to give back to one of the most valued populations in our community.

On Thursday, December 8, 2021, the holiday brunch will be served to more than 450 senior citizens at the Dr. James R. Smith Neighborhood Center at 1723 Bruton Boulevard, Orlando to honor them.

Clerk Russell began this initiative while she was an Orange County Commissioner in 2006. This will be the 15th year Clerk Russell has provided this free event for seniors to help make their holidays extra special.

“I’m so glad we’re able to bring this event back! Unfortunately, for the last two years, because of the pandemic, we were unable to provide this meal the way we have done it for so long, which for some seniors is the only real holiday experience they can enjoy,” said Clerk Tiffany Moore Russell. “I’m thrilled to once again be able to host this event the way it is meant to be celebrated.”

Sodexo Centerplate Catering has donated the food to this worthy cause and has been an incredible partner in this effort. Other partners include the Dr. James R. Smith Center, the Orange County Convention Center, Orange County Parks & Recreation, Careplus Health Plans, CenterWell, Village Medical, Feed the Need by 4Roots, Department of Corrections, the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association, and J. Giles Electrical Services.
