City of Apopka to Host Open House at Camp Wewa

The City of Apopka Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an open house at Camp Wewa on December 7th from 4 PM to 7 PM. This event will allow families to tour the facility and learn about upcoming 2022 overnight and day camps and rental opportunities, including weddings, team-building events, educational programs, and corporate retreats.

The City purchased this one-hundred-year-old camp from the YMCA in September 2021. Through partnerships with Lowe’s Home Improvement and the Friends of Camp Wewa, the City was able to revitalize the camp.

The City is excited to provide lifelong memories through the camp, retreats, rentals, events, and outdoor education. It looks forward to keeping the traditions that made this a popular destination.

  • Time: From 4 PM to 7 PM
