Did you know the St. Johns River Water Management District conduct's a butterfly hunt every month?
Each month, a team of volunteers visits the Lake Apopka North Shore to monitor and map butterfly activity. The intrepid butterfly hunters track each type of butterfly species found. They also monitor the number of eggs, larvae and pupae observed.

The next scheduled butterfly hunt begins at 9:00 AM on April 30 on the North Shore of Lake Apopka.
