Make a plan to vote; here's why you should

Posted

Greetings to the residents of Apopka. My name is Sandra Fatmi-Hall, and I’m running to be your next Orange County District 2 Commissioner. For the past 12 years, I’ve been an active citizen in our beloved District 2. After retiring from being a bank manager for over 17 years, I continued my passion for empowering communities one family at a time through the formation of the United Foundation of Central Florida, Inc.

I’m running to be your next Orange County District 2 Commissioner to transform District 2 and our county positively! Our platform focuses on Affordable & Equitable Housing, Economic Development, and Public Safety.

I’m urging you to make a plan to vote in this upcoming primary and general elections. It’s imperative that you exercise your right to vote and let your voice be heard. There are three ways in which you can be engaged in the process:

  1. Request a secure Vote-By-Mail Ballot; there is still time to request a secure ballot no later than 5 pm 10 days before the August 23rd election. The Supervisor of Elections must receive your secure ballot no later than 7 pm on election day for it to count.
  2. Vote Early August 13th – August 21st, 2022; you can vote at any of the 20 early voting locations.
  3. Vote on Election Day, August 23rd, 2022, from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.

This is one of the most significant elections in our history Affordable & Equitable Housing is on the Ballot. Environmental sustainability and eco-friendly development issues are on the ballot. Impactful leadership that can provide sustainable and transformative solutions is on the ballot. You can get all those areas and more addressed with Sandra Fatmi-Hall. Once elected to be your next Commissioner, my team and I will work with the City of Apopka, the Orange County Government, The Private sector, Business owners, Residents, Our Churches, and Organizations, to name a few, to aid our residents and families to achieve the American Dream of Homeownership. This is an achievable task, and it can and will be accomplished with the right leadership in place.

On my listening tour throughout the district, I have regularly heard this by many neighbors I have spoken with; they’re hurt by the state of our economy with inflation at an all-time high, impacting rent, food prices, gas prices, etc. We must find short-term and long-term solutions enabling access to opportunities for you, our residents, and our neighbors. As your next commissioner, I pledge to work with my colleagues at the city, county, state, and federal levels to ensure that we proactively address your concerns and Charting A Pathway Forward for District 2 and our county.

I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many people canvassing our communities in District 2. If I haven’t met you yet, there is still an opportunity to do so. We are actively canvassing and hope to meet you soon. In the interim, please visit my website www.sandrafatmi.com to learn more about me and why I’m running to serve you! If you need information on voting, please visit www.sandrafatmi.com/voting. If you’d like to reach me directly, please email me at sandrafatmicampaign@gmail.com. I hope to connect with you soon; in the interim, please do not forget to exercise your right to vote. Happy reading!
