Main Street Apopka opens part-time Executive Assistant role as organization expands leadership team

Volunteer Executive Director Caitlin Kasheta transitions to President as the nonprofit continues revitalization efforts in Downtown Apopka

Main Street Apopka is excited to announce the opening of a new part-time Executive Assistant position. The organization continues its mission to revitalize and reimagine the heart of Downtown Apopka.

This announcement comes with a heartfelt thank you to Caitlin Kasheta, who has generously served as Main Street Apopka’s volunteer Executive Director since 2023. Her tireless work, bold vision, and unwavering dedication have laid a strong foundation for this young organization’s momentum. Caitlin will now transition into a lateral leadership role as President, where she will continue to guide the program, foster partnerships, and advocate for the preservation and progress of Apopka’s downtown district.

The newly opened Executive Assistant position will support the President in the organization’s daily operations. This hybrid, part-time role offers a meaningful opportunity for someone passionate about community development, event coordination, and nonprofit work. The position begins August 1, 2025, and includes valuable perks such as paid travel to national and state Main Street conferences and access to professional development through the Main Street America Academy. Additionally, after one year of employment, the Executive Assistant will have the first right of refusal for the full-time Executive Director role when it becomes available.
