The Orange County Library System is connecting library users to a new level of access and convenience with the launch of its free app, available for download now from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Discover a new way to experience your Orange County Library System with the OCLS app – a gateway to a world of books, music, events, and more wherever you are.
App features include:
- Find recommendations and search the catalog for books, movies, and more
- Enjoy easy access to e-books and audiobooks for on-the-go reading and listening
- Explore and sign up for library classes and events directly in the app
- Make an appointment with a social worker
- Checkout your items while browsing the library’s stacks with the "Checkout an Item" feature
- View your holds, checkouts, event registrations, and room reservations in one place
- Add your library card to your device’s wallet
- Toggle between multiple library accounts
The app makes OCLS’ most-used services and features even more user-friendly with its easy-to-navigate, intuitive interface. Audiobook and e-book fans will love the ease of listening to or reading their digital checkouts right in the app. Caregivers can toggle easily between children’s accounts and manage reservations and materials for each of those accounts. Local Wanderers can check out all the options for free culture passes for admission at local arts and culture institutions.
The new app, developed by Communico, is funded through generous support from the Friends of the Orange County Library System.
