From Loaves and Fishes
Loaves and Fishes would like to thank the incredible support of our Apopka community this year! Our fundraising efforts this year have given us more opportunities to serve more people in need this year than ever before. As we enter the home stretch of this year, we just want to start by saying thank you.
Moving into our Holiday traditions, every year we have collected miniature and fun sized candy bars to fill holiday tins to give as additonal gifts to our clients. This is one of our favorite traditions here at Loaves and Fishes Apopka and look forward to offering it once again.
During Halloween time, there are all kinds of candy sales, so in addition to that and any other left over trick or treat candy you may have after Halloween Night, we would love it if you considered dropping off that candy with us.
Our Holiday schedule this year is as follows..
- Thanksgiving Collection: November 1st-17th 2022
- Thanksgiving Distribution: November 21st-23rd 2022
- CLOSED November 24th-27th 2022
- Re-Open November 28 2022
- Christmas Collection November 1st-December 9th 2022
- Christmas Distribution December 5th-15th 2022

We are so excited for the upcoming holiday season! Like every year, we are prayerfully asking for your pledge to help us provide our clients with items to ensure their families enjoy holiday meals together. In years past, we would provide Turkey or Ham to ur clients in addition to holiday sides and fixings. Over our nearly 40 years of service, we have discovered that often times those items don’t always accommodate to the needs of our individual families. Instead, for a few years now, we have provided gift cards in addition to providing holiday sides and fixings to give our clients the opportunity to purchase additional items if they choose to. We would love it if you, your group, organization, or church would be able to pledge food items or a monetary donation to assist us in supplying these items and making sure our clients experience the joy the holidays bring for so many.
Our food items we are looking to receive from our community supporters are STUFFING, CRANBERRY SAUCE, and GRAVY PACKET. These items can be collected during our regular collection times of Monday-Thursday from 9am-2:30pm, with consideration to our holiday schedule listed above. Our address is 206 East 8th Street in Apopka.
If you are interested in offering a monetary donation, you can do so by visiting our website (loavesandfishesapopka.com) or by sending us a check. Checks are also accepted and can be made out to Loaves and Fishes Apopka. Please remember to include the note ‘Holiday Pledge’. With these monetary donations we are able to buy in bulk to ensure there is enough to go around for all of our clients.
If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please call our office at 407-886-6005 and ask for Karen or Lory.
