In just 18 months our innovative online news site has published over 3,000 articles, over 5,000 Facebook likes and over 30,000 readers visit our site and Facebook page every month.

The Apopka Voice serves as the premier provider of daily local news in the Apopka community. Our content is timely and relevant and our online readers are engaged, loyal visitors.

And now we are hiring digital sales executives who are reliable, responsible and want to expand with us in the area of advertising sales. We want you to build a business.

Your role at The Apopka Voice will be to:

  • Develop strategic solutions that meet the unique needs of each client
  • Act as a digital marketing consultant to local businesses
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals

The right person for this role will have:

  • Strong and collaborative presence to work as a partner to any business
  • Demonstrated success in new business development
  • The ability to adapt to our unique product and digital strategies
  • A thorough understanding of digital advertising (display, rich media, push e-mail, native, SEM, SEO and social media, etc.).
  • Preference is given to candidates with a thorough understanding of the Apopka business market and to digital ad sales experience

This is a salary plus commission opportunity that is a full-time position. Part time commission based positions are available as well. Experience is preferred, but not necessary. We are an equal opportunity employer.

Wanted: Professional Office Manager

Take responsibility for the smooth running of our small, dynamic office where your professionalism, initiative and office skills will be welcomed. You will have plenty of room to be creative and management is always open to new ideas.

Your role will include providing a full range of office management duties including:

  • running of the office
  • provision of administrative support
  • accounts management
  • payroll
  • production of reports and educational packages
  • some marketing duties
  • other ad-hoc duties as requested.

You will have the flexibility to implement new procedures and systems to improve the smooth running of the office, and schedule flexibility

This is an autonomous role and you need to be comfortable being independent and making decisions. You need to be self-directed and have organizational and problem-solving skills.
