Hope CommUnity Center opening a food pantry in Apopka

Hope CommUnity Center is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its Community Food Pantry, a vital new resource to support local families in need. The pantry will serve as an emergency food source for those facing food insecurity. The celebration will occur on Thursday, January 16th at 10:00 AM at 800 South Hawthorne Avenue in Apopka 32703. 

Guided by our slogan, "Filled with Hope," we want to ensure every individual has access to food in a welcoming and supportive environment. This initiative represents a significant step in our mission to strengthen our community through compassion and care. 

Filled With Hope Food Pantry Grand Opening

Date: Thursday, January 16th, 2025 

Time: 10:00 am 

Location: 800 S. Hawthorne Ave. Apopka, FL

The pantry will operate on Tuesdays from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at 1016 N. Park Ave. Apopka, FL 32712, and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm at 800 S. Hawthorne Ave. Apopka, FL 32703, offers non-perishable goods and other essentials to needy families. By partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank, Hope CommUnity Center aims to create a sustainable program that fosters resilience and well-being. 

We look forward to welcoming our community members on January 16th as we celebrate this milestone and continue building a stronger and more connected community.

    Thank goodness there are still decent human beings out there willing to help the less fortunate. Unlike our governor and legislature who decided the "Christian" thing to do is make it a crime for the homeless to sleep.
